Tour to the Kyzyl-Kum Desert (2 days)
Experience adventures trip to the Kyzyl-Kum desert, one of the most unique tours will show you Uzbekistan from a different perspective. You will see ancient Petroglyphs (rock paintings), ruins of the Alexander the Great’s fortress, Chashma Complex, experience the nomadic style of leaving in a yurts and camelback ride.
Route: Samarkand/Bukhara – Nurata – Yurt Camp – Samarkand/Bukhara
Itinerary:
Day 1.
Pick from your hotel in Samarkand or Bukhara and drive to Nurata Town on the way visit to the petroglyphs.
Arrival to Nurata, visit to Chashma Complex: Saint spring and ruins of the fortress of Alexander the Great 4 century BC.
Lunch on self-arrangment
Continue drive to Yurt Camp toward Aydarkul lake deep into Kyzyl Kum desert (65km – 1hr).
Arrival and accommodation in yurt (4-6 pax per yurt)
Camelback ride (10 min’s).
Optional: Camelback ride till the Aydarkul Lake (10km). (please request the cost from us)
Dinner around the fire place with folk performance.
Day 2.
Breakfast.
Free at leisure time, drive to the shore of Aydarkul Lake. Swimming, Sun tent and desert exploration is possible.
Lunch at the lake shore.
Transfer to your hotel in Samarkand or Bukhara, arrival and accommodation.
Best period to visit:
Spring, Autmn.
Clothing:
– trekking shoes, warm jacket, long sleeves shirt, sun hat, sunscreen, swimming suit.
