##Trip Description##
The Upper Mustang Motorcycle Tour is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure designed for riders who dream of exploring one of the most remote, mystical, and majestic regions on earth, the Forbidden Kingdom of Lo-Manthang. Nestled in the rain-shadow region of the Himalayas near the Tibetan plateau, Upper Mustang was a restricted demilitarised area until 1992, and even today, only a limited number of travellers are permitted annually.
Starting in Kathmandu, this 14-day expedition takes you on an unforgettable journey through diverse landscapes from the subtropical jungles of Chitwan National Park, the serene lakeside town of Pokhara, the stark beauty of the Kali Gandaki Gorge, to the stark high-altitude desert of Upper Mustang.
You will ride the powerful Royal Enfield Himalayan through narrow cliff-side roads, ancient villages, deep gorges, and river crossings. You’ll pass through remote mountain settlements like Jomsom, Kagbeni, Samar, and finally reach the walled city of Lo-Manthang, the cultural heart of Mustang. Marvel at ancient Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, prehistoric caves of Chhoser, and sacred shrines like Muktinath Temple, all while riding against the backdrop of the snow-capped Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Cap off the journey soaking in natural hot springs in Tatopani and enjoy the vibrant culture and tranquillity of Pokhara before heading back to Kathmandu.
