- Weight and Balance (WB) Fee
Rainbow helicopters has a weight and balance fee for all guests weighing 260 lbs. and over in order to safely balance the aircraft in advance. For guests that weigh between 260-279 lbs, a fee in the amount of 50% of the seat price will be assessed. For guests that weigh 280 lbs or higher, an additional seat purchase will be required. In the event your weight exceeds 260 lbs at check in, we will do our best to accommodate you, but you may be rescheduled and charged fees. If you are unable to be rescheduled, the tour will be a full charge.
- Doors Off helicopter tour policies
Rainbow helicopters policy states that you will not be able to board a doors-off flight without a jacket or sweatshirt and closed toed shoes, so be sure to remember to dress warm! Also, when booking a doors-off experience, your seat may or may not be directly adjacent to an open door.
- Seating capacity and large party accommodations
Rainbow Helicopters flies the skies of Hawaii in Robinson R-44 aircraft with a seating capacity of 3 passengers per flight. We also fly an A-star aircraft with a seating capacity of 6 passengers. We often accommodate parties of 4 or greater. In the case of medium-large parties, we may fly 2 or more helicopters at the same time in sequence around the island.
- Due to unforeseen circumstances, your tour may change or be cancelled
Rainbow Helicopters does not assume responsibility for conditions beyond our control including adverse weather, regulatory restrictions, or any other condition that could compromise safety of flight. Unforeseen circumstances may precipitate varied scenic views, delay, or cancellation.
- Age restrictions and regulations
Due to FAA regulations, children 24 months and over require an individual full-fare seat. Any child under 24 months is welcome on the lap of a responsible adult at no charge.
