Overview:
A half-day tour to show you the local people how to pay more and more attention to environmental protection.
Highlights:
Visit Taboo Bamboo Workshop, understand how a local people use very basis material to create many useful and creative utilities in the house as well as decoration stuff.
Visit Tan Thanh village observing installation art for marine environment with many nice and great idea of using waste to create an art symbol calling marine environment protection
Coco Casa - Art Workshop where displayed sculptures and souvenirs made from reclaimed driftwood, wood debris from carpentry workshops, debris cloth from tailors in the Old Quarter of Hoi An.
Enjoy Lunch with organic vegetables, the local freshest seafood and meats.
Itinerary:
The tour will begin with the join hands for a green environment with our local community "The Timeless Hoi An" to make yourself a paper bag recycled from newspapers while being served with coffee & tea. The next is Tamboo Bamboo Workshop, situated on the outskirts of the idyllic Coconut Palm Village, the Taboo Bamboo Workshop offers you an incredible opportunity to create your very own Bamboo momento. During the Tour of the Taboo Bamboo Workshop, you will be surprised and fascinated to see all the different household items and objects that can be created from the humble bamboo.
Next stop is Coco Casa, with “Coco” stands for “Co Co” river while “Casa” means “house” in Spanish. At Cococasa, their ethos is to reduce waste by Recycling and upcycling driftwood left behind by floods on the Thu Bon river as well as waste wood from the Kim Bong carpentry village in Cam Kim commune, Hoi An city. Wandering around, Coco Casa you will discover many beautiful household products and souvenirs, such as wooden wall murals, decorative statues, flower pots, cosmetic containers, furniture, and kitchenware. Next, we will move to visit the bohemian Tan Thanh fishing village which together with the local community and tourists has been building ‘green’ beach tourism by boosting plastic-free and zero-waste recycling zones.
Our final stop is a restaurant located in a fabulous organic farming village of Tra Que Village where you will be able to savor the freshest produce and flavors that Hoi An has to offer.
** Please join us in minimizing plastic waste for environmental protection by carrying your own reusable water bottle or you can use our bamboo water bottle.
